Karim Adeyemi has absolved his rapper partner, Loredana, of any blame for his indifferent form at Borussia Dortmund in 2023-24.

The Germany international forward has been dating Albanian music star Loredana since the summer of 2023, with the pair first spotted together in July of last year. Adeyemi has failed to produce his best on the field since then, and appreciates why life in the public eye with a famous girlfriend is going to lead to inevitable questions of his focus.

Adeyemi has, however, told Dortmund’s of why no fingers should be pointed in any other direction than at him: “I knew what I was getting myself into, that she was a person in the public eye, but I found it crazy that people react like that after a bad game. Not unfair against me because I didn’t play well. It's unfair to my girlfriend. It has nothing to do with how I play and perform on the pitch. Sometimes I find it strange how some people take the liberty of judging people they don’t know.”

Adeyemi has started just three Bundesliga games for Dortmund this season and has not figured at all since December 13 due to injury. He added on his struggles: “It wasn’t a good first half of the season. I’m not happy with myself.”
