Vlahovic has emerged as a target for Villa ahead of the summer window, as they attempt to rejig Unai Emery's squad after a slightly underwhelming league campaign. While the club remain in the Champions League – they face PSG in the first leg of their quarter-final next week – they are ninth in the Premier League, albeit only four points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

Teamtalk reports that Juventus would be willing to sell Vlahovic for a €40m (£33m/$43m) after a season in which he has scored just nine Serie A goals. The 25-year-old had been of interest to Arsenal but the Gunners have cooled their interest. They have also been linked with Watkins ahead of the summer, having made a January bid for the England international.

Juventus are willing to discuss a deal for Vlahovic due to the fact his contract expires at the end of next season, so the Italian club appear minded to receive a fee, rather than running the risk of him departing on a free.
