Salah has been a constant force in front of goal since his arrival at Liverpool. The Egyptian forward has won the Premier League Golden Boot on three occasions – outright in the 2017-18 season and shared in both the 2018-19 and 2021-22 campaigns. Salah’s most productive campaign came in 2017-18, when he scored 32 goals in a single season. However, based on his current form, he has the potential to eclipse that record. With 25 goals in 27 league appearances so far, he is six goals ahead of his closest competitors, Newcastle’s Alexander Isak and Haaland.

Research by shows that Salah, who currently has 182 Premier League goals, could equal Shearer’s record by the conclusion of the 2027-28 season and break it in the opening game of the 2028-29 campaign, assuming he remains at Liverpool until at least the age of 35.

On the other hand, Haaland, who has 83 goals, could reach 260 goals by the 2030-31 season, around Gameweek 17. By that point, the Manchester City striker would still be only 30 years old. If he remains at the club for the duration of his contract, which runs until 2034, he has the potential to surpass 370 Premier League goals.

While Salah is renowned for his goal tally, his playmaking ability is equally impressive. The Liverpool forward has registered 17 assists this season, which is the most in the Premier League by a considerable margin. He leads Europe’s top five leagues in assists, with Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal ranking second with 11. With 10 league matches remaining, Salah has the opportunity to challenge the Premier League’s single-season assist record of 20, jointly held by Thierry Henry (2002-03) and Kevin De Bruyne (2019-20).

Salah’s combined goals and assists tally stands at 42 this season, putting him within reach of another significant milestone. The record for most goal contributions in a single Premier League season is 47, achieved by Alan Shearer (Blackburn) and Andy Cole (Newcastle) during 42-game seasons. For a 38-match campaign, the highest total is 44, achieved by Thierry Henry in 2002-03 (24 goals, 20 assists) and Haaland two seasons ago (36 goals, eight assists). If Salah maintains his current form, he could challenge or even surpass this modern-era record before the season ends.
